When the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT) was acquired by new owners in 2010, the new management group decided it was an ideal time to establish a refreshed, modern look. They wanted a new logo to re-establish its presence in the community and the state as a Minnesota theatrical icon. After interviewing several firms, Fuzzy Duck Design was selected to take on the challenge.
Fuzzy Duck accepted the challenge and ended up delivering not only a new logo but also a new icon, advertisement templates, style guide and animated logo for television advertising. The logo has been incorporated into all aspects of the Theatres’ marketing and advertising including a wide array of retail items available in their gift shop.
Redesigning a logo over a decade old and also working with multiple decision makers can be challenging but the team at CDT made the process easier by providing tools that narrowed the creative focus. Items such as descriptive words, SWOT analysis and a new mission statement were established early in the project and allowed Fuzzy Duck to do what they do best and deliver a truly effective solution.
