MEET THE DUCKS: Diane Borries

Over the years Fuzzy Duck Design has welcomed many ducks into it's flock, but there is one particular duck that has been with us the longest. This talented individual has been with the company for over 10 years and has established herself as the "Master of Print Design." Please meet the talented - Diane Borries.

Diane grew up in the Twin Cities in a very close-knit family. Every celebration was spent together, and theme-based polyester parties were their favorite. Diane’s childhood was occupied with softball, cross-country, track, and arts and crafts. But most of all our young over-achiever was obsessed with Barbie dolls. She loved dressing them up in different outfits and accessories. As a child Diane was very easy-going, which helped her develop a very close circle of friends with whom she still keeps in contact.

Throughout Diane’s adolescence her interest for art grew stronger, but she still was not sure which direction to take. While attending North Hennepin Community College an art teacher inspired Diane to embrace her talents and attempt the field she had been admiring for years. After much research Diane decided to attend The College of Visual Arts to become a Graphic Designer. After a hard working 4 years she graduated with a Bachelor in Fine Arts.

Out of college, Diane’s first endeavor was Landscape Structures, Inc. Fortunately, her days were numbered when she stumbled upon a job posting on the Star Tribune website from Fuzzy Duck Design, who was in search of a graphic designer. After the interview Diane became an official duck.

Over the years Diane has brought certain essential qualities to her position such as attention to detail, a superb sense of composition and a personality that makes it a pleasure to work with her. So, what has kept Diane at Fuzzy Duck for over 10 years? She could not be happier spending her days in a warm and friendly environment filled with great bosses and amazing co-workers.

What lies in the future is a huge mystery for Diane, but she anticipates to travel as much as she can and has an interest in photography which she hopes to explore further.
