Kyle's Shooting Star

Having lost a child to cancer herself, the client was forming a foundation to help families of those with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. She needed to develop a professional and tasteful icon and logo to represent the foundation.

The client provided background on how the foundation was named after her son, Kyle, who had lost his life to cancer. An image concept was developed of a child’s hand reaching out after a shooting star. Multiple sketches were provided and refined into an approved icon. Hand-drawn text was created based on one of the conceptual sketches and color variations were explored.
